Dr. Lubna Somjee

Dr. Somjee launched her business with a vision to apply science and best practices to support people change and grow.

She is an award winning licensed psychologist with significant experience and training providing individual and couples therapy. Additionally, she has a subspecialty in health psychology working with people who are managing chronic medical issues. Her services are based on best practices in science, and bespoke based on her patient’s strengths and needs – always with the lens of cultural competence and understanding people’s unique histories and experiences.

Additionally, she also has experience training medical residents and fellows, and consulting to medical professionals about integrated healthcare services.

Dr. Somjee also is an executive coach and consultant, she leverages her understanding of organizational functioning, leadership, and business psychology to maximize profession/leadership growth working with emerging leaders to the c-suite. Additionally, Dr. Somjee serves as an actionable thought partner to help develop vibrant teams and boards to stay ahead of the curve and tackle challenges. She is often sought out to speak to audiences about leadership, the workplace, diversity, equity and inclusion, and psychology.

Dr. Somjee received her doctorate degree at the University of South Dakota and her internship was at RUSH- Illinois Masonic Medical Center. She then went on to complete two fellowships at Yale School of Medicine in clinical psychology, and clinical health psychology.
